Do a search on waveform. Previous posts have talked about pulse width modulated waveforms (shown in Trionic manual). My guess is that the waveforms are probably 0-12V PWM signals running at some frequency (hence the buzzing). As one signal's pulse width increases, the others pulse width decreases and the net affect is an increase magnetic pull on the solenoid in one direction. The solendoid moves accordingly thereby routing more (or less) vacuum to the wastegate. A PWM signal will look like a pulse train with a pulse width typically less than 50% (a square wave would have 50% pulse width). When the computer varies the signal (asks for more or less boost), one signal's pulse width will increase/decrease and the others will decrease/increase respectively. However, I have never actually measured my good computers output. On the bad unit all I was seeing was basically ground noise. My guess is that you could run the check with the unit disconnected (open circuit). I may give it a try this weekend if I get a chance.
