For now, I'm holding off on the TCS on/off switch. However, I did have TCS act up on me this week. I THINK the left front wheel sensor is on its way out, but not sure. Regardless, the system got confused and started cycling the ABS. I think the computer cleared itself overnight, since the symptoms didn't appear again yesterday. We'll see what TODAY brings.
On the wheels, I'm still at a loss as to what is truly the answer on the offset issue with 7.5-inch-wide rims. Math works out to around 15mm. Others have said that Abbott Racing recommends 30mm with a 7.5-inch-wide rim, but Abbott is unwilling to confirm this to me, since their specifications are "proprietary."
IF I went with 15mm offset, there is a Brazilian manufacturer that another TSN member recommended to me called BINNO. They make wheels with a 15mm offset in the 4x108 bolt pattern.
If I go with a slightly higher offset, BINNO offers 30mm, as well. Mille Miglia also just emailed me confirming that they offer six (!) wheel models at 17x7.5, 4x108, 25mm offset. I'm actually thinking about that option. Tire Rack will tell you they have only ONE option, the AT Italia (nice five-spoke design), but they're 30mm offset and on a LONG backorder. I know one person who used the AT Italias, and he's not had ANY rubbing problems on either side.
More updates on the wheel thing later...
