by searching the 9000 and Performance boards for "t5".
My 1993 CSE definitely has the Trionic system, and (as Zeke said on the subject a couple of years back) if it's not T5, what is it? However, the 1993 CSE ECU is definitely not swappable with later years (different number of connector pins for a start) so I imagine this is true for 1993 Aero automaticss. Saab must have changed the software anyway for manual cars, not least because of the bigger turbo.
I think it makes sense to think of T5 as a technical approach to mixture control which was modified at various stages along the line, for various applications (not just 9000s). So yes, essentially your car is like the 1994 cars but there will be physical and software differences and you have to work with what you've got.
The 1993 Aero sales brochure I have is printed in November 1972, by the way. I think we got Aeros earlier here in Europe than you did in the US, and the 1993½ m/y for its introduction is more a marketing concept than a technical description.
