Sounds pretty good and as you point out, many people, DIY and mechanics a like spend a lot of time going on a goose chase trying to measure their way to the problem, especially the throttle body.

When everything else is correct and the fault is the throttle body, you can't really see anything wrong with it by measuring the resistance on a stationary basis, ie, disconnected and on the bench. All values will be perfect.

You need to have a high speed lab scope with recording function to be able to see the split second glitch that makes the ETS go into limp home and you need to have the lab scope hooked up to the right wire where the glitch is visible. This could take many hours of test driving and you still might not be able to see it.

That's why it's no use to beat around the bush trying to find another problem when in fact it might be the TB.

Granted, the person fault tracing the car has to be 100% SURE that all other components are not at fault, and that's where it can goe so wrong when people start to look at it themself or a mechanic that doesn't have full understanding about the system and not the proper scan tool.

I can't beleive that this problem continues to be such a big issue since the system was used for so few years. Guess that Saab managed to sell a lot of 9000 equipped TCS.

Very rarely do I get customers coming back with a new TCS problem after the usual suspected parts has been replaced, but almost all new customers I see with TCS cars has one or more problems related back to the standard faults that has been talked to death on this board like, dump valve, cross connected hoses and not properly calibrated.
