Hey Daven,

Well, at least the potential is there:) You could still have vac leaks, but bypass valve is okay. Basically, you have 12 year old knock protection & ECU systems. These are prolly not at their prime. But they are necessary! To get a high boost, you need to search the perf BB.

at least you need:
2.5-3.0 bar FPR
modded or aftermarket APC
good BPC solenoid & silicone tubing
Good ignition components, correct timing, & retard under boost
Base boost high enough - this is big!

As far as bleeding, this does occur and is normal - it allows for faster response to knock I think. To eliminate bleed, people use manual boost controllers (always in line to the BPC). Also, the windshield wiper mod is effective.

Fill your BPC with carb cleaner overnight, or pick up several used ones to try. These get gunked up. New ones are $300!

All cars are different. With Saabs covering the basics goes a long way.
