Bill,
Thanks for the 3M website reference!!
I finally found my printed Saab 9000 Manual for body repair,
8:1 Body, bodywork repairs M 1985-95- (part #0358853)
that appears to cover both 92 CC model and 94 CS models.
The last few pages of this manual refer to repairing plastic parts.
It refers to the bumper as "non-rigid plastic (thermoplastic)".
So can thermoplastic be reshaped with heat? Is it polyurethane?
I don't know, but I'll check for the same PUR marking when I take my bumper off.
The saab manual recommends the following products for repair of "thermoplastic":
3M 8984E cleaning agent
3M 5907 P.A.P. adhesion promotor
3M 5900 plastic filler
fiberglass fabric on the back to reinforce.
It appears the 3M website no longer has the 05900 product category. So, I'll have to find out what replaced it (probably the 5895 kit you mentioned).
Thanks for your help.
