Hello there,
I agree with you hans, everyone on this site IS attached to the JT 3" system...
...as for me, i have the abbott racing stainless steel 2.5" system, from the turbo back...
It's just as quiet as the stock system, if not more so... and this was a big issue for me. I didn't want a huge loud sound from my car, just a silent whisper! I hate "fart can" exhausts as i'm sure most other saabers on here do to!
From what i understand (and correct me if i'm wrong someone) but back pressure isn't such a huge concern with a turbo-charged engine right? so having a larger 3" diameter exhaust system isn't 100% vital to peak engine performance...
...however, i also understand that a 3" diamter pipe run from the turbo back, will have 44% MORE flow capacity (interior space) than a 2.5" diameter...
... so i can see how a 3" diameter will make a difference, but, is it overkill?
the debate begins..... NOW! :)
