Yes I agree the 900s & 9-3s are a bit dull compared to the 9K - and the cargo room of the 9K is icing on the cake.
Here in Arizona Saabs are uncommon to begin with, so finding a clean 9K may be difficult. However I don't mind going out of state for a nice car, I look at the drive home as a good thing!
Two main things attract me to a Saab for a daily driver - safety and style. I've always known Saabs were safe, seems like they do more 'real world' safety tests than anybody else. Even a 10+ year old Saab is probably safer than most of the new cars today. I love the unique style Saabs posess as well. As a kid I lusted after 900 SPGs, and the 9K has really grown on me.
Like I said I have a good independent Saab mechanic in my area, and that's a plus. The wife loves Saabs too, so I'm hoping whatever used Saab I end up buying, it'll convince us to replace her VW with a Saab shortly thereafter. (she's in a VW lease for a bit longer)
