Been there,
but by the time you finish, it's
no worries (for that part of the system)
for quite awhile.
But the front end suspension on these things
seems to cascade like that.
BTW - you can find the right fit for th ball joint separator
by taking in the new ones to a good parts/tool store guy
like NAPA. And they come in surprisingly handy for other jobs some times.
Yaofeng's idea is a good one, but i don't know if you have a small
hyd. jack - that idea requires you to loosen the knuckle bolt first.
Other things. Your noise description doesn't sound like cv
noise - you asked this - because cv noise usually starts with clicking
and slowly gets worse. Usually doesn't affect the handling as much
as you have indicated either.
Also, after I blast my suspension stuff with penetrating oil
I take it for a vigorous ride to help work the oil into the
pieces.
Good luck Aaron, and
the Northern Lights were absolutly incredible here last night.
Hope I get a warm weekend, I have a couple of things I have to get
done yet and live without a decent garage.
Buck
