If you look at eEuroparts, you'll see a picture of the bulb/carrier-
http://www.eeuroparts.com/(2iypbn45wzhflqv2znwli145)/productdetail.aspx?searchResults=1&code=4069373
The picture is NOT to scale - the bulb/carrier are much smaller.
If you walk into the dealer, they can give you the bulb - it'll be around the same price as eEuroparts - around $7. 0.85w would be fine. As I said in my previous post, I used the Radio Shack 12 volt/60ma bulbs, which works out to 0.72 watts. Driving home last night, I looked at them again, and I think 3/4W is fine. 2.2W would be way, way too much - you might start melting things.
If you're comfortable with a soldering iron, and have a small one, go to RS and buy the bulbs - subminiature, wire lead, 12 volt at 60 ma, two to a package for about $2.25. Unsolder the old, solder in the new. Try not to melt the carrier. The bulbs must be wire lead - no base!
Otherwise, just go to the dealer and buy a new bulb. We're talking a $5 difference here.
