But after reading your post, I realized that he just pulled off the timing cover. I thought the head was already off. Having never pulled apart an engine (although I'm excited about my first opportunity), I didn't realize exactly where the gasket went and what it covered. I was frustrated with myself for volunteering so quickly to post something without REALLY thinking it through to make sure that I knew what the heck I was talking about.
The idea of a broken HG just sounds like a scary idea when I consider it being MY car.
