Theres a fine line between having too much power and not enough power. You're used to powerful FPT boost, but I know that your familiar with the old NA Saabs that really don't have any cajones. Sometimes that can be dangerous, like when getting on the highway, etc. The extra power defintely comes in handy for my Boston driving!
You and I both know that even if the car is NA, it can still go fast. I can tell from your posts that your daughter seems pretty responsible, and I'm willing to bet she won't drive 115 MPH, but that doesn't mean the car can't. Whether it takes 15 seconds, or 25 seconds to get there is the issue.
I bet you can find a great '95 CS LPT with some decent options (moonroof leather, etc.) for something in your price range. Theres no lack of Saabs up where you are! If there's ever something you want me to take a look at down here, shoot me an e-mail.
