Andy,
I have two 9K's. I have always used stock brake components due to all of the bad experiences I have heard, along with my mechanics advice, regarding after-market parts. Unless you used matched pads and rotors engineered for each other you will have problems....unless you opt for expensive after market units IE Brembo or AP Racing. Abbott has some matched after market rotors/pads.....I don't know how they work.
The latest parts on my 9K are OEM rotors and a little kown OEM brake pad designed for heavy use...taxi etc. the pads were $120 for the fronts. They work great....less dust and a firm peddle.
