If you think that you can circumvent the Limp Home by installing the TCS OFF switch, you will be disappointed to hear that it does not help. You can switch off the 'TCS' proper, so the anti-skid part. Unfortunately the problems are in the Electronic Throttle systems (drive by wire) which is an integral part of your car. You CANNOT switch it off.
If you take it to the dealer to reset the SRS light, have them read the TCS/ ETS codes while they have the TechII computer plugged in anyway. This will give an indication what it is wrong with the traction control. OTOH, if your car runs fine now, chances are there are no permanent codes stored in the brain.
I am not really in favor of just changing out parts of the TCS/ETS system, starting with the cheapest, and hope you stumble upon the right one.
David is right in that the valve on the false firewall and the vacuum hoses are the most common problem. Then again, the valve has a tendency to react to high temperatures. I understand you had the problem right after a cold start. For me that does not directly point to the valve.
If you can strike a deal with the dealer (..) to reset thte SRS light and simultaneously read/calibrate the TCS/ETS system, that would be my preference.
just my 2 eurocents.
