Oh my gosh, I agree with you guys. I've put in over a dozen 12-16 hour days in recent years (Both in my Saab and my Saab's predecessor, an '89 BMW 325i (2dr)). I like them both, and both are very comfortable cars. The Saab, however, gets better gas mileage, and carries much more stuff. (Backpacks and gear, along with skis or bikes, depending on the season!!!)

My most recent favorite was (July...although I've made the drive from CA to MT twice since...14-15 Hrs to Bozeman.):
Cooke City, Montana to Nevada City, California. Nearly a thousand miles, over Beartooh Pass in Southern Montana (Up there with "Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier and Tioga Pass in Yosemite in the scenic catagory!), through Yellowstone (Speed limit 45...about 2-3 hours of the trip), and nearly empty roads in Nevada (Hwy 80 has far more "traffic" than Hwy 50 ha!) Stopped for gas in West Yellowstone, MT, (I hadn't gassed-up since Billings) and Winemucca, NV.

Just a touch over 16 hours straight from Cook City to Nevada City. 32 MPG. '93 9000 Aero. I love it.

Show me a car that'll get 30-32 MPG, do 145 MPH (I haven't), do 0-60 in the mid-6's, carry a mtn bike and a couple pairs of skis INSIDE, and leave you feeling refreshed after driving it for 16 hours, and I'll show you a Saab.

Yes, I'm biased!
