Brake thump with new rotor and pads (long).

This past weekend, I performed the following on a 91 9kT:
Replaced rotors (Brembo) and pads (Morse).
Replaced ball joints (TRW) and tie rod ends (TRW).
Replaced front and rear lower engine mounts.
I now have a distinct thumping noise on the LH side upon hard braking. I don't feel any pulsation at the pedal. There is no noise under soft braking.
I jacked up the front and had my son put it in gear and apply the brakes. It seams that the thump happens once per revolution of the wheel with the brakes applied heavily. Everything is tight and there is no noticeable run-out on the rotor.
I have a feeling that there is some other problem that is now more prevalent with tight ball-joint and smooth rotor. There was a minor pulsation before I did the work (which is why I replaced the rotors in the first place), but is much more pronounced now.
Could this symptom be caused by a wheel bearing or CV joint? I don't notice any vibration or noise while turning or accelerating from a stop.
I am stumped. I plan to swap the rotor and pads to the other wheel and see if the problem moves with them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
