From the schematics I have, the contacts that drive the brake light switch also go to the ECU for boost control. It also goes to the Cruise control system.
The second set of contacts for cruise control also goes to cruise control. But since the cruise control system is an option, it is possible to have a turbo car without cruise. So the brake light switch is used for boost control
There is no adjustment for these switches. They either work or don't. The just snap into place.
