hello dickt and urby...
i've heard of this before, i might have even asked the fellow who did the transmission swap too... cant remember if i asked him for sure, but if i did he probably said yes.
anyways, i WAS breaking a lot of "drive splines" when i first got the tranny in. or stripping out the inner driver on 1 of my cv's... can't remember wich one tho.
this happened as well, 2 or 3 times, and i had to bring it back...
the last time he fixed the problem, and it hasn't happened again, but i'm not sure what he did.
if it was the bracket, then i bet he replaced it and didn't tell me.
i thought for a while that he has tightened a nut on the end of the axle too tight, and this was causing spine to break and driver to strip.
instead of calling the poor guy (he's had enough of me, and vise versa) how about i have someone check this bracket... is it and easy find?
i hear it has auto and manual printed right on it?
