Hands dirty for a long period of time??????? Damn. Yuck.
It very much does "feel" like "fuel starvation". Sounds like a good way to put it. :)
So anyway...here are a few questions, please:
1.) If the problem was the fuel pump would it affect the AC so distinctly?
2.) What else occurs when the DI cassette fails?
3.) Does the fuel pump cause the check engine light to go on?
4.) Could the O2 sensor be involved?
