Thanks to my friends here on the board who supplied the guidance for me to complete my own D.I. Cassette and spark plug replacement!
It really makes a difference in the performance/operation of the car. The car even sounds so much better when it starts!
I really enjoyed doing the work and the feeling of accomplishment is awesome.
The only part I hated was getting the di-electric grease and anti-seize gunk on my hands. Stinky stuff. But if I'm going to aspire to be my own Saab mechanic, I guess I'll have to learn to deal with that.
So now I've changed my own radio antenna (no small task when you get inside that tiny motor thingie!), and my D.I Cassette and my spark plugs! I'm looking around for what to do next.
I did just this year get a long-ish (and getting longer)crack on the dash from the point of the little round thingie forward, but as I understand it changing the dash is a nasty, expensive task. Guess I'll have to make friends with the crack and hope it doesn't turn into a spider webbish sort of thing.
Thanks again for the help I have received here. I appreciate everyone who took the time to help me along with this project.
