After just having been there, it sounds like the BPC transistor in the ECU is shorted. It appears a cause for this is a worn valve. If there is brass dust in the valve ports, the valve is worn.
Less than 1 meg Ohm indicates a valve transistor is shorted. It is possible the BPC valve coils have proper resistance and cause the transistor and fuse to fail. A shorted transistor applies 12 V to a valve coil continously which causes a race between the coil melting and shorting, or the fuse blowing. One way or the other the fuse blows.
The ECU can be repaired by replacing the transistor. Note, newer valves have 2.5 Ohm coil resistance.
