You need to actually press the sleeve out of the poly bushing to apply some lubricant. You will not get the same effect from just lubricating the inside of the sleeve where the control arm fits, as the sleeve gets clamped onto the control arm when you tighten the big washer and 18 mm end nut on the control arm - you will see what I mean when you take it apart. I believe that the sleeve actually rotates somewhat within the bushing, unlike the OEM setup where it is locked into the rubber, and this movement is what seems to make the noise. There are bird whistles (sound-generating devices) made of a metal conical axle with a wooden sleeve which use a similar principle.
Getting the sleeve out of the bushing is not that hard with a large vice and various sized sockets - push with one abut the size of the sleeve, use another larger one on the receiving end. Hopefully it is already lubed and will just pop right out.
Note that despite my best efforts about 18 months ago, I am again starting to get some squeeking on one side on cold mornings!!! Grrrr.
