Sometimes you get lucky. I bought my '94 CSE from a small used car dealer in Jersey a few weeks ago sight-unseen on eBay for a grand total of $810. 256K miles. From the posting, I knew it would need a blower motor and heater core. Interior and exterior were very presentable though the dealer had not detailed it and didn't take great pictures. $150 and a few hours swearing to do the motor and core. Swapped out the stereo for an aftermarket head unit as the stock radio wouldn't accept the code after the dealer put in a new battery prior to my pickup. What has this car needed? Nada. I've changed all fluids to establish a baseline. Apparently this car had been sitting a while as there had been a divorce involved. I expected to find something fairly big that would need to be done but at the price I got the car for, it would seem to be a good trade-off in most instances. Again, nada so far. This car appears to have been well-maintained. No rust save for a nick on the fuel door that I'll take care of. The auto tranny still shifts smooth...would have preferred a standard but beggars can't be choosers. Even the headliner it tight. If I get a year or two out of this car (hopefully more), I'll still be quite pleased.
