you could try moving the converter one bolt hole (at a time) to try to find a happier spot. mark both with a paint pen or witeout and go from there. (trying to translate here)
did you clean the paint off the pilot nub of the converter? clean the rust from the pilot hole in the crank and grease it?
i hope you did draw the converter up slowly (a few turns on bolt one, go to next bolt, repeat)
i have a noise kinda like you describe. i have an idler going bad and i need all new mounts (but for the one upper i did a few months ago). i noticed the noise getting louder in the last week or two.
do you get a louder sound during acceleration? it sounds like something is touching the body or subframe on mine when i get on it, as if the engine is moving too much.
i should have the parts tomorrow (hooray for eeuroparts)
