the more i think about how i drew up converter...
i went around finger tightened all the bolts...
then one by one removed, put on loctite, and replaced...
don't think i did final tightening until second round.
they're short, not many turns to tighten
but maybe i wasn't so careful...
thing is, issue existed with old tranny which i did not install, and all bolts were tight, and tranny had been in car for at least 40,000 miles (when owner says rebuilt was installed) or 164,000 if owner was lying (i never got paperwork).
i'll look around for other noises, like i said, cat bracket is no longer attached, but it's been like that for a LONG TIME...
upper mount was bad when i got car, and i reinforced with rubber and silicone...
i may just let go of it all and just drive it until something fails.
i can't imagine disconnecting converter and rebolting would change anything if symptoms are the same
