Well, I was T-boned by a Jeep Liberty back in 2005, car wasn't totaled, and could have been fixed, but I was looking at about $4000 in repairs. I loved my Aero just as much as you love your CS, if not more. My frame had shifted about 3 inches to the passenger side, and was probably going to need a front clip job (replace the entire front end of the car with a front end from another car). Didn't want to do this, so I parted out the car (it was a '94 IMMACULATE 9000 Aero, 5 spd, NO TCS, with only 60,000 miles....go figure) and made about $5,000. Actually, now that I think about it, I shipped my engine to a guy in Maine.

Anyway, I would have loved to fix it, but then again it most likely would have never been the same (structurally, etc.). So I parted it out and made some cash, and have owned 2 other Aeros since, including my current car.

First of all, you need to get a couple of quotes from different places. Don't just go to your regular guy. Hit up a few body shops, maybe an indy saab mechanic or two. I'm sure there's plenty out there on the East coast. Don't be discouraged by long distances, either. If the price is right at a place 60 miles away, go for it. Do some research first.

Then, after you've got your LOWEST price (make sure its legitimate obviously), decide if you're willing to keep your car. I love these cars too much now, and I dread the day I lose my 9000 for another car, so I would personally repair it.

Post some pictures so we can see what you're dealing with, then maybe we can give you better advice. Hope this helps.
