Almost new clutch slave failed? Posted by AdamB [Email] (#3) [Profile/Gallery] (more from AdamB) on Wed, 22 Apr 2009 22:49:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had a rebuilt engine along with SPEC flywheel, SPEC 2+ and new genuine Saab slave cylinder installed in February. Have driven 3200 miles with it so far.
The last couple of days I noticed that the clutch pedal had slightly less rebound to it and then today when I went to start the car to go to work the pedal dropped to the floor. Tried pumping it quite a bit without any results. No fluid in the footwell, but under the bellhousing a small puddle. Doesn't appear to be any holes or leakage from the hoses. Master cylinder is probably 8 years old.
With the puddle under the bellhousin I guess it looks like the slave failed? What can make a brand new genuine Saab slave cylinder do that??
