repair is a pretty basic one that is more or less the same on most front wheel drive vehicles. It shouldn't take them very long either. The price you will pay depends on what they do however. If they just repack and replace the boots, then they can't really gouge you on the price for parts. If they replace the joint, or most shops just use a rebuilt axle assembly, then you will pay at least double retail for the parts. Are you getting any clicking when making turns? If so they might tell you the joint is bad, and needs to be replaced. If you do it yourself you will need a few tools you might not have. Let us know.
