Well, I'll put my $.02 in here. I live up here in Alaska and have 2 Saabs. A 97 CSE and an 02 9-5. My wife's 9-5 has TCS and when that system kicks in and begins applying individual brakes, it's one of the most stable cars I've ever driven. I enjoy sliding the 97 around a bit and on the snow and ice as it's exciting when controlled. When I try to "slide" around in the 9-5, it's amazing how much control the car gives you when the system engages. So I've only heard of horror stories with the TCS on the 9000, but when it comes to transporting my children around this state, the TCS is what makes the choice easy.
