My heater core died by having the wall devider colapse inside the end tank of the heater core where the coolant hoses plug into(This wall directs incomimg hot coolant to pass thru the core and in my case coolant was being sent right back to the engine block)so hot hoses going into and coming from the heater core. The system maintained pressure(no leaks)However, this caused me a ton of confusion when trying to figure out why the system was not providing heat although the hoses maintained proper heat and all the servo motors where working correctly.
Good luck!
