The Colorado Dept of Health and Environment (Colorado Clean Air) employs a tech to offer assistance to owners with cars that fail. After dealing with an array of testing their first assessment was a throttle position sensor (wrong issue with the turbo) and then a reassessment of the culprit being the pedal potentiometer. My question for all after examining the history on this site and not finding any satisfactory explanation would this part be suspect for dysfunctioning and causing the car to direct excess fuel to the sensors when decelerating. Could the part be purchased used and can it be installed without recalibration? Anyone who can provide insight on this problem will be appreciated so that I can address a plan of action be it to repair or disposed of the car. thanks
