If you can look into each cell of the battery, they should all look like clear water. Any one that is cloudy is a sign of a failing cell. This has never been wrong when ever I don't have my battery load tester available Another great maintainable procedure is to re-clean the ground wire clusters in the engine compartment. Most are usually black in color. Cold weather with a cold engine hampers the vaporization of liquid gasoline. With minus degree temps, i can understand the hardships of living in your area. You can also place a electric heating pad against your battery at night to help with the battery amp supply. Electrons do move slower in cold battery acid.
