After 'at least' 3 on phone hours with Duracool Ceo and Tech guys : Yes I'm a pain.
Useful info gleaned: R134a is long term Corrosive, consequently evaporator leaks are inevitable.
My method was to vent the 134a charge Slooowly , to avoid spraying out the systems oil supply . Took about 20 mins of gently pressing the air valve nipple (just like on a tire), Then a Can Of Duraseal (leak/hole sealant) Followed by a can of Refrigerant.
System then worked FINE all last summer.. notably better than it was previously. The goofy Duracool (propane/butane ?) is Far more efficient than 134a.
Subsequently (this April)i realised/verified that my pesky Fill valve leaks a wee bit... still. Duraseal has no seal effect on the valve.
All of the above fill info is correct... BUT... there are detail bits of info missing. Otherwise this would /could be a 3 page instruction essay.
Suggest (seriously) that you phone: 1-888-463-2665 and ask for 'Larry' :-)
He will guide you through the exact procedure in detail..[AND what you need to buy as filling 'kit' and materials ] until you are fully understanding the drill, even if it takes him an hour to do so.
Impressive tech help IMO.
Once done even once...you will understand that it's a very simple procedure indeed.
G'luck.
