The rear doors have that double-pivot linkage between the inside door lock button and the latchworks.
With the inner door trim panel off that should all be revealed, and you can get right at the rod that goes down to the latch and does the actual locking and unlocking.
Does IT move the correct normal way and distance and seem to be unlatching the works, only the works don't get free? If so you're in a real pickle as I see it, and maybe yes, make sure it's in the position that indicates unlocked and then try sudden force on the door (yeah, maybe kick while lying on seat?) with a latch handle fully pulled.
If the lock-button rod doesn't move freely and an appropriate amount up and down, then keep up assault with spray lubes and keep moderate pressure application on that rod, maybe even some tapping and prying with vise grips latched onto it, till it seems to behave as it should.
Hard to suggest further disassembly but maybe stripping the inner panel off the passenger side rear is called for, to give you a good example of how far things should be moving.
Keep progress posted.
