Thanks for all the possibilities....I'd replaced the broken plastic pivots with nylon blots/washers/nuts. I'm never quite sure if the orientation of the long lock metal rod is with the long horizontal piece up higher, or those pivots pointed down. I had the opposite side open as well, but I've been in that one so many times I'm not positive that side is correct, and it has it's own issues (I'm awaiting for a ebay purchase of a RR latchworks set to install there to make it 100%)

I've been distracted the last 4 days by some major family activity (graduation of # 3 son), but will pursue this to completion this week....
