I thought that would get a response....
The oil is probably too thick. The oil pressure sender has been replaced already. It didn't make a difference. This engine has had semi-low to low oil pressure since I bought it a few years ago. It has only had synth oil in it since I bought it and the previous owner (#2) said they only ran Mobil 1 when they had it. I can't speak for owner #1. The oil pressure did take a long time to come up that day as it was very cold. I have some 0W-30 Mobil 1 that is going in this weekend. The oil pickup could have crap in it. Can you drop the pan with the engine in place? The engine doesn't knock and valves don't clatter on start-up. I may install a gauge to see what the pressure really is during operation. Easy enough to do.
