I could have sworn the bolt for my '88 was 32 mm. Either way - measure it up. I got a standard 6 point 1/2 inch drive socket at Sears.
You will need to drain the oil to replace the oil pump O-ring. As Gene said, check the Townsend site on replacing the main seal and O-ring for the 900. It's pretty much the same for the 9000, but easier because access is better. Get yourself a tub of Vaseline to pack the pump so it primes (again, see the 900 info).
You will want a torque wrench, both for the oil pump bolts and the main pulley.
