I've been pleasantly surprised by their performance and wear considering their cost. The tread is aggressive but not super-noisy. They have a great grip on dry pavement and truly outstanding traction in the wet. They are, of course, poor performers in the snow and absolutely terrifying on ice. I squeaked by this winter by taking my daughter's car (away at college) to work on snow days, but next year, it's snow tires for me.
The wear is good. The tire has six holes of graduated depth in the circumference of the tire labeled R1 to R6. As each hole disappears, you are supposed to rotate the tires. So far I have worn to R1 on the front tires, rotated them and worn to R1 on the fronts again. I am about half way to R2 with 11,000 miles on the tires which would work out to over 40,000 miles if my math is correct. This is with some spirited driving and a lot of stop and go.
As to the other tires on your list, I had the Michelin MXV Energy tires and I found them to be a long wearing tire with shockingly poor performance. It was agony waiting for them to wear out. I had some summer Pirelli 6000s, which were a very good handling tire in dry and wet, but they eventually succumbed to belt separation, a common problem , apparently.
A long winded reply, but nothing gets everyone's juices going like asking about tires!
