I think you should consult with a professional ac shop about the Ester oil. But even if it's not a problem with the r12, you have way too much oil in the system. The whole thing should not be more than about 8 oz. Too much oil can bog down the compressor and it will coat the inside of the evaporator and condensor, reducing efficiency.
Both of my 9000's are r134a. One is factory and and one is retrofit. The factory system is cooler, but probably because the retrofit system is leaking. On a 95 degree day, in the sun, the better of the two will put out about 48F from the center vent, on low, at idle. Which is cold. On a cooler day, it will go to about 40.
There are 2 significant variables. One is how hot the inside of the car is before you start the ac, and the other is the outside air is. 43 would be pretty good if it was 90, and not so good if it was 70. Of course, the system will only cool to a certain point anyway, so you really need to stick a thermometer in when it's really hot out.
