The car's about up for it's major mile service and should have the brake fluid changed soon. While I have done many other things myself, I've never messed with brakes or brake systems. I have read some of the info on it, and it does not sound too hard. Still, I might just have a mechanic do it for peace of mind. Brakes are the one system that is truly essential.
I will probably go ahead and check the t-stat housing soon. I did do my best to remove all the accumulated crud from the inside of the housing, but it's all together possible that a little was left behind. The only real reason I haven't done this already is that I can't get the throttle body off and thus working on the t-stat housing is a pain. Oh well, bite the bullett...
