You didn't mention or not whether you had installed some type of crossover to ensure the proper signals go to the right speakers. That may be one of the reasons why your fronts have crappy bass when honestly, they shouldn't have any. If any freq above say 140 mhz is going to the fronts that wopuld for sure make them sound like $hit. If your amp has 5 channels for real then it should also have some type of crossover built in. What I normally do with steroe installs is to us 2 seperate amps. A two channel that would be say 200 watts to power the subs. The other a four channel that would be say 200 watts (50 watts x 4) or (100 watts x 2)that would be used to power the 2 rear and 2 front speaker. One other tow channel could be added if I were to use tweeters. I doubt I would though. All these amps would be feed off of the crossover (3 channel) that would receive it's signal from the head unit. I wouldn't mess with the system myself if I were you, I'd take it back and have them fix it correctly. If the person didn't know how to install it or wasn't knowledgable about the components he should have said so and either let someone else do it or allowed you to decide to take your car to another place that does. Either way if you mess with it and can't get it right then decide to take it back they'll swear up and down that you somehow broke the freaking thing. That will only piss you off even more. Take the car back and tell those TURKEYS to get it right while you still can. Most of these places gaurantee their work for a short period of time so, it's up to you.

Good Luck, Phil
