because you're right, I don't think I had to pull the rod out as much as that to re-locate it on the wastegate arm. I think it must have been backed off previously. However, I do know that Johnny Johansson at Maptun phoned me after sending the exhaust to say I would have to raise base boost after fitting it. So don't re-write the books till I have pulled the undertray off and measured things!
It is also possible that my wastegate is not functioning correctly, since I've been having the odd problem over the past few weeks - boost was taking a little while to come up under acceleration, fuel consumption is up and the plugs look as if the engine is running hot or the mixture is weak. I plainly have other things to check. However, boost, lag and performance are better now that they were before I shortened the wastegate rod. I certainly don't get overboost, fuel cut-off or anything else you mentioned in your post of July 14th.
