Nipped under the car just now and the displacement is indeed about 4.5mm – to be absolutely clear, I have to pull out the rod 4.5mm against its spring to locate it over the pin on the wastegate lever. Could't fiddle my gauge in so this is approximate only.

Sorry if this doesn't fit with your Belgian experience! When I have time I will slacken everything off to give the 1.5mm displacement you suggest, measure base boost/full boost and post. I anticipate the figures will be pretty flabby.

As mine is a '93 car I'm assuming it has a TD04 turbocharger, rather than the T25 on the Belgian car. Moulded on the casing is the legend "Garrett BC1 M27 AIR.48". On a small circular boss is stamped the figure "93" which I suppose could be the year of manufacture.
