There is a guy in San Luis Obispo CA that is a fantastic turbo rebuilder. He has been involved in the design, manufacture, and repair of turbos since the early 60's. He's semi retired now, and owns a one man turbo rebuild service called Turbo Data & Equipment Company. I met him because his shop is next to the machine shop that Dave of SPG9 is associated with. He gave me a tour of his little shop, and I was VERY impressed. He has even designed and built some of the machines he uses to rebuild the trubos. His work is top notch. I doubt you'll get a better rebuild anywhere. Don't know anything about his pricing, but I imagine you won't be disappointed there either.

When I read your post, I called him and asked if he has any experience with the turbos on a Porsche 944, and he replied, "Oh, yeah, they have a KKK turbo, and I've done a lot of them."
