Enough of all the philosophy discussion you have following your post, If your cooling fan is not coming on, the car is hot and you are driving at highway speed, then the problem is obviously your thermostat. It is now stuck shut. This will keep your water from reaching the temperature sensor that triggers the cooling fan. Another way to know it's your T-stat is by simply feeling the radiator(carefully). If the right side is hot and the left side is not then you're blocked. Before you blame the Bar's leak, ask yourself when was the last time the thermostat was changed? It should be every 1.5 years or every 20-25k IMHO.
Now, if the cooling fan's not coming on, but the car is cooling off well at highway speed, then the problem is the radiator temp sensor. The Bar's leak may have placed a barrier over the contact, effectively insulating the sensor. Again, this only happens on fairly well worn sensors, so it probably needed a new one anyway. Maybe you should be glad that you used the Bar's Leak. It forced you to replace some neglected stuff.
