but I did like the feel of the Konis/springs very much. Couldn't really open the Edmobile up too much because of traffic, though the minor roads around the workshop are ideal for trying out adhesion/handling on corners.
I was passing Wix after collecting my Merc Vito from the port at Harwich, so had to call in. Stopped for petrol and directions at a garage which does LPG conversions on both petrol and diesel vehicles. Abbott Racing is down a lane, in converted farm buildings: not a huge operation by any means, but everything clean and very much up together. Everyone friendly and businesslike. Giles also there, though he mainly wanted to look at the van!
I don't know how long it took you to fit your dampers and springs but just now Abbott will do this for, I think, under a hundred quid and I know from bitter experience that getting the bolts out of the rear damper lower mountings can take several hours on an older car, because they are normally seized. Price is under review. You, of course, are a glutton for punishment.
