Hi everyone , ive been a loyal Saab owner for decades and love my 91T but my patience is wearing thin regarding the grinding trans due to bad 2nd and 3rd gear synchros. I am thinking of selling or trading ...but dont really like any other Saabs ...(none with the power of the 91) other than the Viggen or 9-5 Aero, and they are beyond my price range. A 93-98 Aero is an option but Im not all that sold on them. Is it worth spending the 1500-2000 $$ to have the tranny rebuilt? Will it shift like a normal car when it is fixed or will I have problems again in a year or two? The car will need other regular repairs soon ..tires ..etc so theres another grand or two. I know its still more cost effective to repair than replace with something newer ...whats your opinions? Any good or bad trans repair stories out there? thanks for your responses in advance .
