balance chain sprocket on the crank lost most of it teeth which were passed through the teath of the oil pump. Too late to be any good here, but don't ever drive a car with oil presure light on!!! I noticed mine flickering at low rpms and shut it down immediately. Replaced balance sprocket and oil pump. Depending on how long he drove the car, I'd say the engine is toast. The only good thing is that a used engine isn't that much. I've installed one for less than 1500.
