I agree with Ari on everything, except I guess I'm kind of particular about making sure the reservior is filled with clean fluid. I like to snake a 1/4" clear vinyl tube down into each of the reservior's chambers and siphon out the old fluid, then partially fill and siphon again twice. That still leaves the old fluid in the ABS pump, but you'll see that when you bleed, the fluid does eventually come out clean. Keep a close eye on your fluid level in the reservior and keep in mind that the reservior is divided into chambers, one of which will supply one circuit, another chamber another circuit. This means that not all chambers will drain when you bleed at a particular wheel. One solution is to always keep the fluid level above the top of all the chambers. Another is to determine which chamber is draining for each wheel. But it's easy to not notice that the most aft of the chambers is draining, leaving the anterior ones full, and things look OK until you've got air in your ABS pump. That's hard to get rid of. Ask me how I know this. :-)
