Overheating, Head gasket blew, and bright orange Turbo

Hello,
Fellas I had a tragedy last night, as I got home smoke came out of my car and the engine overheated. I opened the hood and saw steam coming out of a hose and bright orange turbo as if it where the sun. So I tow it to the mechanic today and he tells me I blew the head gasket and radiator and coolant leaked everywhere and in the oil. He basically told me I had to rebuild my engine. He said since he isn't familiar with these cars I should take it somewhere else do it. My question is should I rebuild the one I have or shoudl I get a new rebuilt one? Where can I get those? This is a '92 9000T with 150,000 on it. So far, the car has performed well. I'm also strapped financially so I don't know what to do. Plus the turbo might be gone, the mechanic didn't even check that.
